Kowanyama Project

The project included the construction of three new classroom buildings, providing modern and functional learning environments, along with a brand-new playground designed to create a safe and engaging space for students to learn, play, and grow.

A key highlight of the project was Civil Scapes’ commitment to local participation. Several community members were engaged on the project, contributing through labouring roles while working towards obtaining their building tickets. This created meaningful employment pathways and supported long-term skills development within the community.

Through strong collaboration and a shared commitment to positive community outcomes, the project has strengthened local infrastructure while building capacity and opportunity for Kowanyama’s future.
