Mick Cutts

Mick Cutts is a highly experienced construction business owner with decades of experience across construction and construction-adjacent industries. Mick is the founder and operator of the successful Sunshine Coast-based civil and landscaping company Civil Scapes, which employs approximately 40 staff, and is also a Director of several other successful businesses, including Granite Engineering, a regional fabrication company.

As Co-Founder of Deadly Pathways to Construction, Mick brings extensive industry knowledge, leadership and operational expertise, helping create meaningful opportunities for First Nations communities throughout Queensland through purpose-driven construction and workforce pathways.

Zac Holman

Zac Holman is an experienced Queensland construction professional with more than 15 years delivering commercial, residential and government projects across the state.

Having held senior roles with leading contractors including Dixon Homes, Fleetwood and Youngs, Zac has led end-to-end project delivery across a diverse range of projects and sectors. He brings strong expertise in construction management, stakeholder engagement and project governance, playing a key role in maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities and industry partnerships for DPTC.

Ian Lacey

Ian Lacey is the Founder of the nationally recognised Deadly Choices Preventative Health Program, established in 2010 to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to make healthy lifestyle choices.

With extensive experience in community engagement, leadership and program development, Ian brings a strong understanding of culturally led initiatives and long-term community impact. His leadership and connections across community, sport and health sectors play an important role in supporting DPTC’s vision of creating meaningful pathways and opportunities for First Nations peoples.

Director & Community Engagement Officer

Kia Bowen

Kia Bowen brings more than 20 years of experience across community engagement, youth services and government support roles.

Throughout her career with Services Australia and youth and family service organisations, Kia has worked closely with remote and regional communities, building strong relationships with community leaders, stakeholders and families. As an Indigenous Support Officer, she travelled extensively to rural and remote communities, supporting culturally respectful engagement and access to services.

Kia’s experience working with disengaged youth and vulnerable community members provides DPTC with strong leadership in community connection, participant support and culturally safe engagement practices.

Petero Civoniceva

Ambassador

Petero Civoniceva is a Rugby League Legend playing over 300 NRL games for the Brisbane Broncos and Penrith Panthers. Petero also players over 30 State of Origin Games for QLD and over 40 Test Matches for Australia and Fiji. Petero is a proud Deadly Pathway to Construction Ambassador who brings strong leadership, lived experience, and a deep commitment to supporting our mob. With a passion for mentoring and guiding the next generation, Petero plays an important role in encouraging community members who join Deadly Pathway to Construction to believe in themselves, stay disciplined, and create positive futures. His presence and willingness to give back reflects his genuine desire to see our people succeed both on and off the worksite.

Tyrone Roberts

Tyrone Roberts is a Rugby League Great playing over 200 NRL Games for the New Castle Knights, Gold Coast Titans and the Brisbane Broncos. Tyrone also had a stint in the Super League with Wakefield Trinity. Tyrone is a dedicated Deadly Pathway to Construction Ambassador who is passionate about creating real opportunities for our mob. With a strong focus on mentorship and personal growth, Tyrone supports community members entering the construction industry by sharing his experiences, leadership, and encouragement. He is committed to helping participants build confidence, develop skills, and stay connected to culture while stepping into meaningful employment pathways through Deadly Pathway to Construction.
